FAQ
Why did my phone mode not change on time?
Check that notification permission, exact alarm permission, and Do Not Disturb policy access for true silent mode are granted. Also confirm that the schedule or prayer quiet window is enabled and that the phone time/timezone is correct.
Why can automation work on one phone but not another?
Some Android manufacturers restrict background work, exact alarms, or Do Not Disturb changes more aggressively than others. Keep Inqita allowed in battery optimization and background app settings, do not force stop the app, and keep Notifications, Exact Alarms, and Silent permission enabled.
Why did a notification not appear?
Make sure Android notification permission is granted for Inqita. Some Android phones can delay or hide notifications when the device is in battery-saving mode, Do Not Disturb, or restricted app mode.
How are overlapping schedules handled?
Inqita keeps the strongest active mode. Silent has priority over vibrate, and vibrate has priority over sound. When the strongest window ends, Inqita rechecks any other active windows before restoring the phone mode.
Why can silent mode show Do Not Disturb on some phones?
Android requires Do Not Disturb policy access for true silent mode. Some phones display DND or priority mode while silent is active. Inqita uses this access only for phone-mode automation and restores the saved phone and DND state after the final active window when Android allows it.
How can I improve prayer-time accuracy?
Keep location, timezone, and recommended prayer settings current. Recommended mode selects the mapped calculation method, Asr rule, and high-latitude rule for the saved country or region. If your local mosque uses a different timetable, turn recommended mode off only when you intentionally want manual settings. When you change the calculation method, Asr school, or high-latitude rule, Inqita applies the saved setting and refreshes Prayer times automatically when you return to the Prayer tab.
Can prayer times work without internet?
Yes. Inqita prepares a 61-day prayer window centered on today. If trusted data is temporarily unavailable, local calculation can show prayer times immediately while trusted data refreshes later.
How does Inqita handle Hijri dates?
Inqita uses country-aware calculated Hijri dates, local correction, cached status, and verified authority records where available. The app does not label a Hijri date as official for regions where there is no verified authority source. During Ramadan, Eid, and other moon-sighting periods, local announcements can differ by country or community.
What if the Hijri date is different in my local community?
Use the app's local Hijri correction when your mosque or local authority follows a different announced date. This keeps the visible date aligned with your practice without changing prayer-time calculations.
Does searching another city change my saved location?
No. Search Location creates a temporary prayer-time preview. Pull down on the Prayer tab, tap the location refresh control, or reopen the app to restore the saved current location. If GPS is off, the app asks you to enable location. Inqita stores only the five most recently selected city searches on your device for quick reuse. You can clear this list from the location search screen.
Does the app use my phone's 12-hour or 24-hour setting?
Yes. Prayer times, sunrise, countdown clock times, schedules, quick presets, and selected schedules follow the phone's clock format.
Which languages work offline?
English, Arabic, Urdu, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Indonesian, Malay, Persian, Bengali, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Uzbek, and Somali are bundled in the app and do not depend on online translation.
How do I send an App Health report?
Open Inqita, go to Settings, then use Report a Problem or Send Health Report if it is available. Health reports include device, permission, notification, schedule, prayer loading, offline cache, location refresh, calculation-setting, Qibla, localization, background/battery, ad-serving, Hijri authority, mode, and recent issue details.
How do I delete my data?
Most Inqita data is stored locally on your phone. You can delete it by clearing app data in Android Settings or uninstalling the app. See the Data Deletion page for more details.
Does Inqita need an account?
No. Inqita does not require a login account. Schedules, prayer settings, and diagnostics are stored locally unless you choose to share support information.
